Bronway Ltd. an Irish-based provider of end-of-line automation equipment for the CD/DVD and Software Manufacturing industries has announced the launch of …the SW-2700 Shrink-Wrap Material Applicator and an Integrated Bulk Packaging Cell for CDs, DVDs, & CDRs on a spindle.
The SW-2700 Shrink-Wrap Material Applicator is designed to apply shrink material with a tear strip around CDs on a spindle. The machine is designed for in-line use and typically replaces the labour intensive process of having to apply a pre-formed sleeve to the spindle prior to shrinking. The SW-2700 has a run in and run out conveyor and can support spindles with up to 200 CDs. The sleeve is formed by a snap heating element and generates a clean straight seam at production speeds.
In conjunction with the launch of the SW-2700 Shrink-Wrap Material Applicator, an Integrated Bulk Packaging Cell for CDs, DVDs and CDRs on a spindle is also being launched. This cell brings together all the individual Bronway products to form the integrated total solution for bulk packaging of CDs on a spindle. The components include: a CD-200 Spindle Counter, an SW-2700 Shrink-wrap Material Applicator, an ST-2700 Spindle Shrink Tunnel and a new conveyor system, denoted the SF-2700, to complete the cell. The SF-2700 is designed in a horseshoe configuration so that the dual role of load and unloading of goods can be completed from the front of the system. The main components are designed from stainless steel to provide an attractive and professional finish. The cell has been designed to reduce labour costs, shrink material costs and electricity costs by having a thermally efficient shrink tunnel.
