The Bronway SW-2700 Shrink Material Applicator has been designed to apply shrink wrap material to CDs on a spindle being prepared for bulk packing. The system operates by wrapping shrink material to form a sleeve with a tear strip around the CDs on the spindle prior to shrinking.
The sleeve is closed by an impulse-heating element, which forms a clean straight seal on the shrink material.
The spindles are fed into and out of the SW-2700 by an integrated conveyor and can be interfaced directly to the ST-2700 Spindle Shrink Tunnel. The SW-2700 is designed to replace manual application of pre-formed sleeves to spindles prior to shrinking thus reducing cost in pre-formed sleeve material and labour.
In-line High Capacity Sleeve Applicator
The SW-2700 is an in-line, high capacity sleeve applicator that can form sleeves for up to 1,000 spindles per hour. The shrink material is fed from two rolls via dance arms and can form sleeves between 150mm and 330mm in height by adjusting the material used. When compared with the traditional manual method of shrink material application, the SW-2700 offers substantial labour cost savings.
Automatic Spindle Detection
The spindle with the CDs to be wrapped, are automatically detected as they pass through the SW-2700 by a sensor allowing the sleeve to be formed around the spindle in an efficient and reliable manner.
Integrated Tear Strip Manufacture
The SW-2700 manufactures a tear strip as an integral part of the sleeve forming process.
Ergonomic Design
The unit is constructed from stainless steel; its lightweight and small footprint mean the SW-2700 can be easily integrated into any manufacturing environment including the Bronway Bulk Packaging work cell.
